First Impressions of ClassicPress

So far so good things I liked so far:

  • GravityForms is working
  • No need for the disable Gutenberg plugin 🙂
  • There is the obvious lack of Auto-Matt-ic stuff no more hello dolly or Askimet
  • It adds pages like about, blog, contact by default
  • My theme works
  • Visual Composer Works – Tests to be run
  • The CMS adds a default feature image in pages, this I tip my hat to, as it helps with Mobile SEO

Stuff not working, still what I would call bloat:

  • I had to add a plugin to add SVG images, just like WP 🙁
  • I had to disable comments via a plugin 🙁
  • There was a demo comment, not needed imo
  • Lean WP plugin – I love this is cleans out all the junk in the back-end of WP, it may not be needed
  • When I deleted themes in the Appearance section I saw some odd behavior with this plugin on
